Cover Reading Books!
*I handed out the reading books to the students today. Only some of the books need to be covered. If your child gets one of these books, which need to be covered, they will be bringing them home today. Please cover them in clear plastic wrap as soon as possible. Thank you!

Open House!
*Don't forget on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 4-5PM in the multipurpose room will be the 1st grade open house. This will be where you can sign up for parties and help me with my wish list! You do not need to come on Thursday, Aug. 19 for the other open houses; those are for 2nd-5th grade parents.
*If you would like to meet with any of the special teachers they will be in the art room on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 5-7PM.
*A special thanks to our room mother, Lori for providing snacks! Thank you!

Welcome New First Graders!
For this week, Wednesday, Aug. 11-Friday, Aug. 13 I will not be posting a newsletter or homework tracker. This means they will not have homework this week! Please make sure to check my blog next week Monday, Aug. 16 for more information. First grade is an exciting time and I am glad I get to share it with you!
